Salford has transformed from being a real no-go area to one of the most in demand areas to live. Salford Quays and Media City especially have contributed to wider gentrification of the Salford area including back towards the city around Salford Central Station and Chapel Street. New apartment buildings are expanding along the River Irwell like Wilburn Basin and City Point.

Salford Quays remains highly desirable because of its waterside location and effortless city centre commute. With just about every amenity you need (including open water swimming in the canal!) from The Lowry Theatre, Old Trafford, BBC and ITV tours to the Lowry Outlet shops, bars and restaurants you’ll never be stuck for something to do. Well known developments such as NV Buildings and City Lofts are in competition with newer developments like Lightbox Blue and Duet.

Growth is showing no signs of slowing down and with so many new developments, you can find an apartment with many amenities exclusive to the building for less than city centre prices.

In 2006 Salford Quays was chosen as the site for the BBC’s relocation, leading to the huge development
